INFORMATION COLLECTED
The only information we have about you is the information you provide on this site when you create an account, as well as data about your participation, i.e., the exhibitions for which you have submitted images.

Should your work be selected by the exhibition’s juror for exhibition in either our Online or Exhibition Galleries, we will retain those images indefinitely on this website. Any images that are not selected are permanently deleted from our servers. You retain all rights to your work. Read more about our copyright policy here.

We will never share, sell, or rent your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order. Information collected is used solely for internal processes. 

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about current and upcoming calls for entry, or changes to this privacy policy.

EMAIL 
We use MailChimp and Constant Contact for the emails that we send to keep our users informed about current exhibition calls for entry and information that we believe is relevant. Both companies follow the new GDPR standards. Users who do not wish to receive our e-mail newsletters may click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any e-mail newsletter or they may request to unsubscribe by writing us at [email protected]. 

YOUR ACCESS TO AND CONTROL OVER INFORMATION
As the information you provide when creating account is the only personal information we have about you, you can see that data and change it at any time by logging in to your account. 

REQUEST TO REMOVE DATA
Upon request, any user may ask to have their personal data completely removed from our database. By doing so, your account will be closed and you will no longer be able to submit photographs to us.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS
We use Google Analytics to provide statistics about a user's presence on our website. This information is anonymous and may not be tracked back to identify particular users and their private information. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as how often users visit the Site, what pages they visit, and what other sites they used prior to coming to our Site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve our website, or to better understand when and how users interact with the site.

Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit the Site, rather than any personally identifying information. We do not combine the information generated through the use of Google Analytics with your Personal Data. Although Google Analytics plants a persistent Cookie on Your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit the Site and use Services, the Cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to our Site is governed by the Google Analytics’ Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

SECURITY
We use a credit card processing company called Stripe to process any payments you make to PhotoPlace Gallery. Stripe is an international company with headquarters in San Francisco and with nine processing centers around the world, handling billions of dollars in transactions.

During the checkout process, we ask for only the minimal amount of information that is necessary to validate your payment. That information is encrypted before transmitting to Stripe. We do not store any of the information you provide, and we have no access to your credit card number. Stripe’s own privacy policy can be viewed at https://stripe.com/us/privacy.

SHARING
We use several outside shipping companies to return your work, should you request it be returned. None of these companies retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes beyond delivery to you.

This privacy policy is subject to change without notification. All changes are posted to this page on our website.
